Bilbao to San Sebastián

Today is an easy 115 miles along the coast, taking in most of the seaside ports (and marinas, obviously).

The GPS has a mind of its own unfortunately and wishes to take us on a D-road tour of the Romanian hinterland. Which is not helpful as we're in Spain. Anyway, we retraced our step another 10 miles to Getxo and picked up the right path eventually.

We managed to further threaten it into submission and it found us the Old Tree at Gernika (eventually).
En route we stopped at Letaitika for a drink - thirsty work this getting lost business...
After a sinuous coastal ride with cliffs on one side and sea on the other we finally arrived at Donostiá ( San Sebastian to you and I) at 1700 and checked into the Hotel Astoria which has a weird Hollywood Celeb theme. See Alfred Hitchcock...
All of the rooms have had celebrity occupants (made up) and apparently, Emma Thompson stayed in our room. Suspect they've changed the bedding since.
Decided to head out for Pintxos before having something to eat.
Sadly we ordered way too much and the salt cod and patatas bravas finished us off...
Still, Yvonne wasn't too put off not to do some bargain- hunting on the way back to the hotel.
